Wedding samples.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to do a quote for a Wedding. I haven't done a Wedding before, so I really wanted it to be accepted.

So, I worked it out, and emailed it off, and I was asked to supply samples.

The client requested white and dark chocolate mud cupcakes, quite simple, in purple and cream colours.

So this is what I designed.

My favourites are the 2nd two. I realised after I took the photo of the cupcake with the flower, that I had forgotten to put the flower centres in, but I fixed this before they were delivered.

Busy, busy, busy

I have closed my books for October, and November, as I completely booked out. I can't believe it, I have never been so busy.

As well as all my cake orders, I have changed jobs. I have left my job of nearly 10 years with Dick Smith Electronics, and have joined up as a Merchandiser with Telstra. I have wanted to be a Merchandiser for quite a while, but these jobs are few and far between. They aproached me, so I couldn't be happier. It also works in quite well with Harrison. It is 5-8 days per month, very flexible (I set my own roster). harrison has started at a local childcare centre, one day per week, and he still goes to my parents house another day per week. I have been trying to cram all my work into the 5 days, so that I get 3 days per month to myself :o)

Ok, I had better go,
More cakes to come soon xox

Calling all Star Wars fans.

You may remember earlier this year in February, I made a R2-D2 cake for a little boy called Bailey. Well this month it was his cousin Dylan's Birthday, and he has asked for a Yoda cake. I was pretty stressed about making Yoda, as I had no idea as to how I would make him, but in the end I was quite happy with the result. The best part, is that Dylan loved him :o)

Yoda was chocolate mud cake, with vanilla & chocolate buttercream.
