My boys are sick!

Well both my boys are sick today. Harrison has been to the Dr's, and he has Broncoliatis, and has since started throwing up. And Adam has been to the Dr's and has a throat infection.

My Mum looked after Harrison today so I could catch up on some cleaning / washing and odd jobs. And I finally got Harrison's baptism Thank-you's printed and posted.

I am off to tafe tonight, for week 3 of my Cake Decorating course I am doing, tonight we are doing piping. So should be good as I need some practice, we are also putting our designs in for what we are going to be making for the next 4 weeks.

Kim's Actual Hen's Day - Hunter Valley Vineyards

Wow what a fantastic day. Jillian & I got collected at 10.45am by the bus in Kurri. First up was Audrey Wilkinson winery, were I bought a lovely bottle of 2006 dessert semillon. Followed by Tempus Two winery were I bought a bottle of Copper Lable Moscato (yum). Then we went off to Potters Tavern for lunch, I had the beef & beer pie, which was delicious, but not worth the 2 hour wait, one of the girls (Kate), didn't even get her lunch. Here Rach & Kim (crazy) left us, as they had prior commitments, and the rest of us piled back in the bus for the last vineyard Briar Ridge. Then off home. During the day Kim's Matron of honour had organised some games for us all to play. The funniest was were we all had to write on a piece of paper what we wanted Kim to do (a challenge) during the day. I wrote that I wanted her to pinch a strange man's bum. Little did we know that Kim had organised prior to this, that what ever she had to do, we had to do with her. So we found a man, in line at Tempus Two, and together we eached pinched his bum. he didn't even flinch or turn around, later we found out that he thought it was his wife. Kim also had to go and ask a group of men sex advice for her Wedding night. One said don't do it, one said she had to honour her wedding vows, and the other said to smile and fake it. lol.

Here are some photo's that Rach took during the day.

Kim's Hens Day

Last Saturday, I went to a friends hens day, she had an Under Cover Wear party at her house, so I made her a cake. Now this cake, wasn't for the faint hearted. I asked Kim what sort of cake she would like, and she wanted "Chocolate", which was great, because its my favourite too. The result was so yummy. Kim's fiance and their son (age 2) ate nearly half of the cake for dinner after we had all left.

This is the Chocolate birthday cake recipe, it has chocolate mousse w/ Malteasers filling, and is covered in chocolate ganache.

Dad's Birthday Cupcakes

As the title suggests, I made these for my Dad's 65th Birthday. We had a few friends over for dinner, and these were for dessert. Like me, my Dad loves food, but Mum tries to keep his intake in check, due to his Type II diabetes. Dad loves caramel, and the colour purple, so I made these.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my new blog. Everyone seems to have one these days, so I thought I should join in.

I will mainly be using it for my cakes, and favourite recipes. With the occasional glimpse at my life, and my gorgeous son Harrison.

So as the title suggests, I need help finding a name. Please help.

Ok will be back later with photos of the cupcakes that are in the oven.

Ciao for now,
Kat
